ANB Recognized by Mastercard for Community Support

Doing Well by Doing Good

Why do we believe deeply in giving back to our communities? It’s at the heart of who we are as a community bank—and when our communities are strong, we flourish together.

We’re thrilled to share that ANB was recently awarded Mastercard’s Community Institution Segment award, Doing Well by Doing Good. Over the past several years, Mastercard® has highlighted impressive achievements from financial institutions for their incredible impact they have on their local communities. In a category with more than 500 nominees, we’re grateful to be chosen for this year’s recognition.

Giving More

This award is imaginable thanks to a multitude of volunteer hours and donations, as well as many teams’ diligent work on our strategic business initiatives directly tied to and serving community needs.

From our team members who volunteered at the Food Bank for the Heartland monthly, served meals at the Stephen Center or rang bells for the Salvation Army during the holidays, to those who gave financial support to our United Way and Give MN campaigns, we always find ways to express our “Do More Here” spirit for the greater good.

2022 Philanthropic Highlights

Over 850 volunteer hours helped 70 community organizations

$890,000+ donated through team member contributions & community sponsorships

$19,000+ contributed by our employees to 22 organizations for our monthly “jeans day” donations

Developing Our Communities

Beyond volunteerism and charitable giving, ANB is a force for good in the community by providing loans for affordable housing and sponsoring educational, family and health programs. As a community bank, we believe in the power of partnerships that strive to provide financial education, business acumen, and a dedication to building better lives locally.

Our partnership with the Carver Legacy Center (CLC) is one of many ways we show our pride in the communities we serve. This past year, CLC’s grand reopening capped a five-year journey to reestablish a Black-owned financial center in North Omaha. Together with the Carver team, we’re focused on sustaining Black wealth and enriching the North Omaha community through business, home and community ownership. Many of our teams continue to support this effort.

We appreciate Mastercard recognizing our most important work—the efforts that better our communities!
