Our branch lobbies are closed to unscheduled walk-in traffic with the exception of select branches in the Southeast community. Please check our locations page for the latest updates.

Services will be fully available via our mobile and online platforms, as well as from our drive-thru windows, ITMs, and ATMs. Please check the ‘Locations’ tab for access points nearest to you.

We want to assure you of the following as it relates to the continuity of our business operations:

  • American National Bank has been, and will continue to, actively monitor developments regarding the potential spread, and impact of the coronavirus with guidance from relevant authorities, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization and U.S., state and local government entities. We feel it is imperative to limit face-to-face interaction until we have assurances from our local health departments that the virus is contained with no further risk of community-related spread.
  • American National Bank’s Business Continuity Planning Program was successfully deployed several weeks ago with protocols that are active and reliable.
  • American National Bank remains committed to providing the highest level of service with multiple layers of protection for our most important assets: our people, information security and cash flow.

We request that you follow the CDC guidelines of self-screening to personally evaluate yourself to determine if you could be at risk by exhibiting any of the symptoms related to the virus. American National Bank Welcomes Emer Murphy Senior Manager Treasury Services Operations Samuel McKelvey Vice President and Deric Poldberg Commercial Banker

American National Bank is pleased to announce the addition of three new employees to the American National Bank team. 

Emer Murphy joins the bank as Senior Manager Treasury Services Operations. With over 12 years of extensive analytical and transactional processing leadership, Emer will help lead the treasury services operational teams across the bank implementing new systems, processes and expansion of product strategy and development. In her previous role, she was Chief Product Owner for all transaction applications and manager of ACH and Wire Operations.

“We are thrilled to add Emer’s talents and experience to our organization. Her operational expertise and extensive capabilities managing complex portfolios is a welcome addition to our team.” said Jill Jensen, COO.

Ms. Murphy is a graduate of Creighton University College of Arts and Sciences with a B.A. in Political Science, the University of Edinburgh with a B.A. in Political Theory and earned an M.A. from Creighton University in International Relations. Emer holds certifications as a Scrum Product Owner and Scrum Master.

Samuel McKelvey has been named Vice President and will be responsible for developing and managing new and existing client relationships with real estate developers and investors in diverse industry segments throughout the bank’s geographic footprint. Mr. McKelvey has been in the banking industry for over 12 years gaining a wide range of experience as a Relationship Manager implementing strategic initiatives to increase loan production and leading regional operations in deposit and growth expansion.

Sam is an accomplished finance professional who brings a wealth of industry and regional knowledge to our commercial real estate team. His extensive experience building relationships and expertise in product solutions will ensure delivery of exceptional financial value to our clients.” said Brian Andersen, Commercial Real Estate Team Leader.

Mr. McKelvey received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, NE and his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Strategy from the University of North Carolina, Kenan-Flagler Business School, Chapel Hill, NC.

Deric Poldberg has been promoted from Business Banking Service Specialist to Commercial Banker. Deric will be responsible for developing new commercial loan and deposit relationships along with servicing an existing portfolio of commercial clients.

Deric is a welcome addition to our commercial team. His enthusiasm, knowledge of the industry, and deep roots in the Council Bluffs community will facilitate further growth within the region. Deric is an exceptional resource for the bank and will provide superior customer service for our clients.” said Jason Hansen, Director of Commercial Banking.

Deric received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, MN.
